Stuff that we have obtained or invented:
I know that from the moment I first set foot inside the Wycombe
office, Gill had a presence... was not sure what but the vibes could be felt..... all was
to become clear (see Genesis).
Gill was in charge of Micro Support (or 'Micro
Truss' as it was affectionately known in the realms of Sales Computing Services) and I
remember that fateful day when I had popped down to see Dave Morton to give him the latest
'game' for the Unisys. Gill was in the corner of her lair (Room 5 at the time) along with
Laura Bentham, Wendy Banks, Andy Cribbes and Jeremy Browne........
"You sound just like the Queen in Spitting
Image !!", I had said, not knowing who she was, or indeed where fate was to plant me
four years later !....the room went silent as the 'look' stuck me fast in my tracks !!
Only Jeremy dared to make a sound, choking back the tears of laughter !
Four years on, and due to the IT policies, I (along
with MICHAEL), were moved under her control.
Acting in the way that they do, the dark forces of St Standalone caused me to carelessly
leave a processor in such a way that it damaged Gill and beset the development of 'The
Great DOW' for a fortnight. Needless to say, the flower-budget was spent for the next
solstice !
