On the Midnight Hour....... 1st January 2000 - Chipping Sodbury High Street

The 'Commercial Millennium' was very civilised, unless you saw Alma's behaviour ! Having been on-call for the following day and with the wife being away for the duration, I could not subscribe to the party-antics of our favourite pub, 'The Squire'. However, I did a brief recce at 11:50 but it was cut short due to the few numbers of people. A lot of the pubs had closed their doors and were having private-parties.

What the hell....... !!........ despite being desperate for a sight of my first pint of the evening (without success), it was nice to say 'Hello' and bang a couple of party-poppers over a few heads...........

If you visit 'The Squire', ask Alma to do her impersonation of a 'Space Invaders Machine'..... it is worth a 30-mile journey just to hear it !!!
